The kit has everything I need to give my featherweight a complete cleaning and some much needed TLC
This Maintenance Kit contains all of the parts you will need to get your Singer Featherweight 221 or 222 in tip-top shape. It is the package we sell to our students in our Spa Day/self-maintenance classes and come complete with the following.
Please choose 221 or 222 from the list to get the specific felt drip pad and extra bed cushion for the 222. Although the Singer Featherweight 221 is very different than the 222, they are both in need of regular service. Some oil points should be addressed with a drop of oil every 8 hours of stitching. The beauty of these little vintage machines is that they are easy to service and maintain yourself. You just need some basic parts included in this kit and screwdrivers. By purchasing the complete kit, verse items a la carte, you actually save about $20! Hand tools are very empowering and easy to use. If you keep your little portable stitchers well lubricated, they will serve you for many many years.
